Andre Lamontagne took the Oral Roberts 15-10 win to advance in the MCWS. The Golden Eagles scored 14 of their 15 runs in the 4th and 5th. the Flashes rallied 8 runs in the 8th, but still couldn't manage the victory. Kent State stopped a top of the ninth 7-run rally, to eliminate Cal Poly and advance in the MCWS. The Mustangs Junior Second Baseman Adam Bushcini finished the year .422, a NCAA record. In their attempted comeback, Cal Poly sent 12 men to the plate in the ninth and narrowed their deficit from 10-2 to 10-9. This was cal Poly's first appearance in the D1 Men's baseball tournament. 8 of 9 ASU starters had a hit, while all 9 drove in a run in the walloping of Kent State. Kole Calhoun lead the Sun Devils at 4-4 from the plate. Jordan Swagerty got the Sun Devil Win from the Bullpen. Kent State First Baseman Greg Rohan and Right Fielder Jason Patton hit Back-to-back Home Runs.
